“What is Your Response to Last Tuesday’s Presidential Election?”

Here’s Mine … First, allow me say, I believe, we all have just witnessed a Divine miracle! An eleventh hour, 59th minute, kind of miracle!! For Donald Trump to have won this election, is nothing short of a massive answer to our fervent prayers! Dear believer (and reader), please know, that it was by the mercy of God alone!

So, here’s my “summary” response to the Election results, conveyed humbly, through my citing of the pertinent Scriptures, along with a few sobering reminders about how we ought to now view President Trump and his administration (So, please read them below, in the order I have presented them), and our role, as well, in our nation’s future: Psalm 146:3-4, “Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish.” Proverbs 21:1, “The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turns it wherever he will.” Proverbs 29:2, “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Isaiah 2:22, “Stop regarding man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he?” Isaiah 44:24-45:1, “Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: "I am the LORD, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself, … who says of Cyrus, 'He is my shepherd, and he shall fulfill all my purpose'; saying of Jerusalem, 'She shall be built,' and of the temple, 'Your foundation shall be laid.'" Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed: …” Isaiah 46:8-10, “Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose …” Daniel 2:20-21, "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” Micah 6:8, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Habakkuk 3:2, “O LORD, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.” Romans 13:3-4, “For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.” I Timothy 2:1-2, “First, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” So then, while we still have the liberty and opportunity, let us truly and faithfully pray for our nation, share the gospel of Jesus Christ with it, love your neighbor as yourself (by evangelizing him and helping create jobs that will help him support his family, etc.), continue to Vote-in all future elections; and support legislators who will uphold our Constitution, who will in return, create a safe, moral, peaceful, and upright realm, in order to deal with the ills of our fallen world, and protect our nation and its citizens from foreign enemies! And I say all of this, believing it to be our moral duty, even while considering Heaven as our true home. Last, but not least, let us never forget, that we who are His visible church in the USA today, have just been given a Divine reprieve, amidst God’s wrath upon our nation! Therefore, let us draw near to God, by taking heed to our heart preparation today, for encountering the living God tomorrow morning; in our public Worship, both through the praises and prayers of His people; and through the reading and preaching of His Holy inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word! … Soli Deo Gloria!
